Cape Town
Bespoke kitchens, made for Cape Town homes
The atelier is Cape Town based and the work stays close to home, because I draw, machine and install every kitchen myself. That proximity is the point: I can stand in your room at four in the afternoon and see exactly what the light does to a matte front.

Where I work
Atlantic Seaboard
Sea Point, Fresnaye, Bantry Bay, Camps Bay and Llandudno. Apartments and cliffside houses where a kitchen usually sits inside the living space and has to behave like furniture.
City Bowl
Gardens, Oranjezicht, Tamboerskloof and Higgovale. Older rooms with awkward services, where the drawing stage earns its keep.
Southern Suburbs
Newlands, Bishopscourt, Claremont and Rondebosch. Family houses with generous footprints, scullery planning and long uninterrupted runs.
Constantia and the far south
Constantia, Tokai and Noordhoek. Larger properties, often a full reconfiguration rather than a replacement.
Cape Winelands
Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Somerset West and Paarl. Travel is discussed honestly at the outset because installation is done in person.
How a Cape Town commission runs
Survey in your home
I measure the room myself rather than working from someone else's drawing. In Cape Town that matters: sun angles from the west, salt air on the Atlantic side, and stone that has to be craned into an apartment all change what can be specified.
Drawing and material
Full millimetre drawings, then finishes chosen from physical samples in the light of your own room. Slabs are selected at the yard with you, not from a photograph.
Making and installation
Machined to the drawing, then installed and adjusted by me. Body corporate access, lift dimensions and building hours are planned before anything is delivered.
